In an interview with the Wrocław Weekly new Vice President of Wrocław Research Centre EIT+ Krzysztof Sachs admits that a big challenge awaits him.

– EIT + it is in a specific situation and proceeds from the investment phase to operations. Basically, within the last few years, it was important for the company to build and equip the campus facilities. For this purpose we received a grant from the European Union amounting to more than 500 million zł. Another two grants in the field of nanotechnology and biotechnology give a total amount of 200 million zł. and allowed to function and carry out parallel research projects, of which we have already 48 patent applications. However, this year these grants run out. So it is most important that this property and the created potential work for the business – he explains.

Is there a chance? Krzysztof Sachs believes that the EIT+ with Campus Pracze and Humanitarium will be a magnet for further innovative businesses. As he explains in an interview: – The idea according to which the center is a core with a bagel of further investments around is slowly being realized. This is our space for innovation. Wroclaw certainly will benefit.

New vice president also notes that thanks to the Wrocław Research Centre EIT+, Wrocław will benefit primarily from the elite jobs and well-educated scientists. This in turn will attract further investment and over time strengthen the intellectual elite of the city.
