OneFIT - Opportunistic networks and Cognitive Management Systems for Efficient Application Provision in the Future InterneT EU FP7 type STREP project financed by the European Commission from the 7th Framework Program (FP7-ICT- 257385): Project duration: July 2010 - June 2013 OneFIT project aims at developing and validating the concept of opportunistic networks managed, and coordinated with the infrastructure, by advanced cognitive systems for efficient resource provisioning and utilization. The main idea of OneFIT is to introduce two new elements: „Cognitive systems for Managing the Opportunistic Network” (CMONs) and „Cognitive management Systems for Coordinating the Infrastructure” (CISIs) to facilitate close cooperation between infrastructure and the opportunistic network. The ICT RC team is focused on: a) development of Control Channels for the Cooperation of the Cognitive Management Systems (C4MS) for exchanging information and knowledge between CMONs and CSCIs based on the integrated and evolved concepts of Cognitive Pilot Channel (CPC) and Cognitive Control Radio (CCR). Specifically, ICT RC is involved in: WP2 Business aspects, requirements & technical challenges, evolution of functional and system architecture Task 2.1. Scenarios and use cases Task 2.2. Technical challenges and requirements Task 2.3. OneFIT functional and system architecture WP3 Control channels for the cooperation of the cognitive management systems (EIT+ - WP3 leader) Task 3.1.
