EIT+'s Chairman of the Board Mirosław Miller about cooperation with University of Louisville

Professor Mirosław Miller, President of the Management Board in Wroclaw Research Centre EIT+, comments about plans and joint projects which the company intends to carry out thanks to a cooperation agreement signed with the University of Louisville.
- We expect not only some joint applied research (carried out together with Life Science Nucleus managed by the University), but also the exchange of experiences in areas such as mapping scientific and technological competences, evaluating projects, knowledge commercialisation and infrastructure management – explains Professor Mirosław Miller.
Wroclaw Research Centre EIT+ President also highlights the University of Louisville’s experience in the field of creating relationships between the university and local authorities.
- University of Louisville has some interesting solutions in the area of local government cooperation with universities, including the city support mechanisms for university business. I had a very interesting conversation about these issues with the President of Louisville, Greg Fischer. We also visited an excellent local Science Centre, which will bear fruit in the form of cooperation between the centre and our Humanitarum.
The MoU was signed by Professor Miroslaw Miller, President of the EIT+ Management Board, and Professor James Ramsey, UofL’s President, on 9th January 2012 in Louisville.
Cooperation agreement between EIT+ and the University of Louisville provides implementation of joint projects in research on polymers, bio- and nanotechnology, as well as developing innovative methods of treating cancer and diseases associated with ageing.
