EIT + laboratories obtained the Accreditation Certificate

The laboratories of the Wrocław Research Centre EIT + received the Accreditation Certificate No. AB 1661 confirming that the requirements of the PN-EN ISO / IEC 17025: 2005 standard have been met. Among the distinguished laboratories were, among others: Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Laboratory, which is the only unit in Poland offering an accredited test for the quantitative determination of organic compounds purity and a second Polish laboratory accredited for qualitative method carried out with the NMR technique.

The accreditation obtained is a formal confirmation of the Polish Centre for Accreditation (PCA) of the competence of laboratories of Wrocław Research Center EIT + to perform specific tests in accordance with the requirements and conditions specified in PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005. At the beginning, the certificate was awarded to: Laboratory of Crystallography (XRD), Laboratory of Mass Spectrometry (MS), Laboratory of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), Laboratory of Absorption Atomic Spectroscopy (ASA), Laboratory of Gas Chromatography (GC), Laboratory of Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR).

For many companies interested in laboratory services, the most important question is how to find a reliable and credible contractor for their research and what criteria to adopt for this search and selection. The way to confirm the competence of laboratories performing tests and measurements is precisely accreditation – confirms Anna Krawczuk, Head of the Quality Management Department at Wrocław Research Centre EIT +. – The same the Accreditation Certificate obtained by us provides our customers using our services a warranty that EIT + laboratories conduct scientific and research activities at a level that guarantees compliance with global quality requirements, and the results obtained in our laboratories are correct and reliable.

In the accredited laboratories of the Wrocław Research Centre EIT +, a number of tests and analyses can be performed, they concern both qualitative research consisting in confirming the identity of a wide range of organic compounds or chemical substances, including medicines, dietary supplements, food products and various types of chemical synthesis products; but also quantitative research, which consist, for example, in determining the purity of organic compounds by NMR technique. The last test is carried out in the NMR Laboratory, which is the only unit in Poland offering such a method. The method is mainly used in the chemical industry to determine the purity of standards or chemical reagents in a wide range of content, as well as in the pharmaceutical industry to identify known and new active substances.

The full scope of accreditation is available on the website of PCA.
